Crafting your new smile

Appointment 1

Dr. Baker will take an impression of your teeth. The dental impressions are then delivered to a specialty dental lab. The veneers will take about 7 business days of lab time to craft. To place dental veneers, Dr. Baker will prepare your tooth by removing a millimeter or so of enamel. This procedure helps the veneer lay flat, without protruding more than you are accustomed to. After preparing the teeth, she will make temporary veneers in order to protect and cover the prepared tooth surface. It is important to brush your teeth gently and avoid eating hard or chewy foods with temporary veneers. As it is secured by removable glue, they can be easily debonded.

Appointment 2

When your permanent veneers are ready, you may come for your second appointment to check that the new veneer is a perfect fit. The permanent veneers will then be bonded temporarily to check the fit and alignment. Furthermore, If any adjustments need to be made, it will be done at this time. With your approval, the teeth will finally be sterilized and bonded permanently to the tooth. Your new smile is now ready!

Follow up

You may be sore for a few days after the first and second appointments. Hence, you may take pain medication if needed. As well, Rest and a cold compress to reduce swelling can help. Dr. Baker recommends that patients watch what they eat for a few days and consequently stick with foods that are soft. While there is a bit of recovery time the results are a stunning transformation of your appearance and likewise confidence.

E-Max porcelain Veneers

These require 2 appointments apx. 3 days apart (minimum) to complete. $490 per veneer.

No-Prep” Veneers

Like traditional veneers “no-prep” veneers are bonded to the front surface of the teeth. These are minimal preparation and “no-prep,” therefore do not require the dentist to remove tooth enamel for proper placement. Inquire to see if you are a candidate for this procedure. $490 per veneer.

Lumineers

Brand name “No-Prep” veneers done in Lumineer Labs $650 each.
